@@northernswedenstories1028 If you look on their website you see that for example Forest II has "Country of origin: Portugal". It could be a miss on their part. Forest is no longer made in Sweden. Lundhags is a total disaster these days. Increasing prices while moving production away from Sweden to maximize profit. As if that was enough, Lundhags was sold to a Norwegian company some years ago. If there was any pride left in the company at the time of moving production abroad, it for sure was all gone at the moment the entire company was sold to Norway. I guess the owners were not interested in continuing the tradition, they just wanted to cash in. The no1 Swedish boot maker, once a company caring for origin and heritage, is no more. Nothing Swedish about it anymore. I have a pair of Professional high I bought before Lundhags was sold to Norway, but after production was partially moved to Portugal. Didn't know that at the time when I got the boots. My experience is that quality on my Portugal made boots are a lot worse than the Sweden made ones my father purchased decades earlier. A couple of years ago they changed the last of their boots. If you ever owned a pair before the same size will likely not fit anymore. Lots of old-time Lundhags users that are furious on internet. Avoid the brand.

@@edc641 I inherited some older boots (skywalk sole) from my partner's grandfather. They fit me perfectly and loads of room for the toes. I tried some newer Lundhags boots on and found the toe area to be extremely cramped, even in their "wide" versions. There doesn't seem to be any real reason to buy Lundhags boots anymore given how expensive they are. Like you say, they aren't even made in Sweden but in low wage Portugal. Hey ho. I hear Japan still has some great boot makers

This is a great start, but why not show us exactly how to measure and classify our feet as "wide", "regular", or "slim"..? It's always the most fundamental stuff that gets ignored, but I'm sure many people, just like me, are not really sure how you'd classify our feet.. I'm *amazed* if they truly can last three decades with frequent use. Admittedly I've been buying much cheaper shoes, and if I am supposed to care for them in some way, I am neglecting that, but very seldom do my shoes last two "seasons"! In my head there are just two shoe seasons, summer and winter... I really hope it is true, because it would be much better for the environment as well as people's wallets if we pay three times as much, but the shoe lasts more than ten times as long. And we'd enjoy better quality all the time. Shoes have a fairly significant footprint in several ways - a climate footprint in CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions, environmental impact due to chemicals used in their manufacture (and sometimes upkeep, apparently there are many impregnation sprays that use PTFE, I was shocked to learn today), and in the form of fairtrade issues and animal welfare... and probably none of these important factors are helped by the buy cheap and throw it out approach. It's not as if I've only now realized this. The problem is rather that in my experience, when I've chosen somewhat more expensive brands in the hope of getting a better product... quality has been just as bad. I'm the kind of person who think of Ecco as an expensive brand of shoes, and I think it is, considering the ones I've had were no better than much cheaper alternatives. I don't know if they trade more fairly or the animal whose skin went into the shoe lived a better life, but I tend to think if the shoe is poor quality, perhaps the manufacturer pays no more attention to these other issues than they do to product quality/durability. Anyway, I salute efforts to educate us consumers when there are win-win opportunities, and durable, high-quality products that are actually less expensive as well, in the long run, is something we need more of. If I were dictator there would be a 100-year warranty on all furniture and perhaps a 20-year one for shoes! Sure, the price of new products would be higher, but it would create a thriving second-hand market, and it would be worth repairing or refurbishing stuff, as people did in the very imperfect, but more sustainable past. So I hope my feedback is taken to heart, the moral is "do not underestimate the ignorance of most consumers".

Same issue with this pack as every other, side pockets are directed in a pointless direction so during base camp you need to close the main compartment to be able to twist the bag to access things in the side pockets otherwise everything will fall out of the side pockets or the main compartment.

I am really sad to see the side pockets being directed towards the back of the user. I don't know why this has become the standard but in my opinion it's a bad design choice that shows that the designers don't really use the bag. If I am carrying the bag I would be unable to reach those pockets without removing the bag which means that they could have been directed the other way. The frustrating part comes when you put the bag in the tent then those pockets are directed downwards and require you to twist and turn the bag to reach all of the content(between the main compartment and the side pockets) otherwise the content of the side pockets will just fall out.

The mesh on the bag is much too delicate. For a hard use area it should be much tougher material. Forget about storing anything significant on the side of the bag, the side straps are way too short and have bad grip. Also hipbelt bags as an accessory? Seriously? These should come as standard these days. I think this bag could be much more improved with using better side straps, stronger mesh, and actually include hipbelt pockets
